The Help, by Kathryn Stockett, is a very intriguing book. The main character, Skeeter, is a young white woman who has just graduated college. She moves back home after graduating with a degree in English. She decides to write a book from the perspective of the "help". Skeeter is angered when employers refuse to allow the maids to use the toilets. She gets several of the help to talk about their experiences as maids. To protect the "help", she uses fake names. This book is great. I really enjoyed reading it. It has great characters that are entertaining. A must read.
